David A. Dossey

SHAWNEE, Okla. —
Shawnee resident David Allen Dossey, 49,
died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at an Oklahoma City hospital.
He was born Sept. 26, 1958, in Shawnee to Delbert and
Mary (Stevens) Dossey. He graduated from McLoud High
School and O.B.U.
He married Sharon Stith May 8, 1982. He was a school
teacher, coach and bus driver at Varnum Schools. He was
also Varnum academic bowl coach, a collector of history
books, and raised bassett hounds.
He was preceeded in death by his mother, Mary Dossey and
grandmother, Margaret Stevens.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Dossey; three daughters,
Dana Lamberton, Rachelle Carver, and Kristen and
husband Josh Rosamond; son, Jason Dossey; son-in-law,
Kent Garton; grandchildren, Tasha Stinnet, Joshua
Mullendore, Rowdy Mullendore, Heather Mullendore,
Brittany Dossey, Matthew Adams, and Emily Adams; great-
grandsons, Four Garton and Tyson Adams; father; Delbert
Dossey; sister, Debrah and husband Doug Roark; niece,
Tracey Roark; and Nephew, Ryan Roark.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at New Beginnings Church
with the Rev. Larry Sparks officiating.
Burial will be at Dale Cemetery.
